Blends: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Woo-hoo! Alcohol markers are back from Stampin' Up! And they are available for EVERYONE as of November 1st. These dual tip alcohol markers bring out the artist in everyone, making blending colors in lovely ombre patterns, and creating new colors, a snap! Each of the 12 colors has a light and a dark shade marker, available as a set or individually. Plus, there are endless skin tones achievable with the Ivory and Bronze markers. And the Color Lifter marker adds even more options!

For those who are new to the Artisan Design Team, here is a little background. We are a group of 20 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the globe, handpicked by Stampin' Up! to bring you inspiration and projects with the latest and greatest supplies.

If you are following along in order, you have arrived from Germany and Sylwia Schreck's blog. Wunderbar, ja?!

FOr my first card, I used Smitten Mittens and Half Full stamp sets to create this fun Christmas card. And the ombre effect on the mittens is created using the Light Rich Razzleberry and the Light and Dark Pink Pirouette Blends! I also took one of the card bases from the Color Me Happy card kit and cut it in two to make patterned layers for 2 cards.

And the inside of this card. Love that foiled envelope from the kit!

This shaker card uses the sequins from the kit along with some mittens striped with the Blends. Fast and easy! The blue background in the shaker is another ombre effect created with the Light and Dark Pool Party Blends.

And the inside of this one!

And here they are together.

My last project is a little box to hold some lip balm. I took apart one of the envelopes from the Color Me Happy kit, and cut another card base down to be the box base.

The mittens are shaded with the Pool Party Blends.

That's it for me! If you started at the beginning with Allison Okamitsu, then I am the last stop. If you started somewhere in the middle, keep going so you don't miss a thing!
