Stamp Review Crew: Colorful Seasons

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/06/colorful-seasons.html
It is new Annual Catalog season, yeah!! The start of an entire year of planning and plotting which stamp sets we are going to collect buy this year to create oodles of wonderful projects 😀 Well the Stamp Review Crew is here to help you decide. Or to justify your purchases with all of the great projects you can make with those purchases 😈

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also.

If you are hopping along in order, then you just arrived from Valerie Moody's blog, with her clean and simple-yet stunning design style!

My first project/s for this hop are these fun summer cards that seem to scream Party! I love these soft and pure colors, and will be using them loads and loads in the coming months :)

This one is a one layer card with each stripe of color right against the next. I used painters tape to mask the stripes and sponged color on, then stamped the images in the same ink. The sentiment is stamped in Archival Black.

Some simple stamping on the inside completes this card.

This is a little stepped up version, with white gaps in between the sponged and stamped strips, and a heat embossed sentiment on vellum. And some stitching 😀 The birthday greeting is from teh Butterfly Basics stamp set.

And a slightly different interior. Don't you adore this font, and these sentiments?! So versatile and trendy!

I feel relaxed just looking at these bright and sun soaked chairs! I need to find myself some of these to use in real life! 😍

This one is almost a one layer with just the chairs and the sentiment stamped all on one layer. Then some stitching, and adhere it to a Thick Whisper White card base. These chairs were soooo easy to stamp too.

I love to stamp a sentiment over the top of a stamped off image. I think it really makes it look tied together.

Here I used a Copper heat embossed sentiment on the front, and some die cut citrus and a drink. And a narrow strip of the divine Lemon Lime Twist card stock on the right hand side.

More citrus and another drink, and it looks like we are ready to go camping, head out to the lake, or the beach! Maybe even a little siesta in your own yard. 😊

That is it for me this round! I hope I have inspired you to create some summery cards, or at least to have a frosty beverage in the sunshine 😉

And now it is time to go see what Yapha Mason has done with this set. I am sure it will be amazing!

I LOVE these cards! These are all such bright and fun colors! I love your inky striped backgrounds; we both used a similar technique but with completely different looking results! I love it!

I need to bust out my sewing machine and give stitching a try. It's just gorgeous!
